VCM Inspection Machine

 

The VCM module top/bottom inspection machine is used to check for any particles or scratches on the top and bottom surface of the IR cut filter after they and the lenses are mounted on the VCM module. 

Especially, the VCM lens, which is mounted on the module, is used as a part of the optical system. The main beam projection angle and the angle of access for the main beam of the inspection machine are to be matched, which is a brand new concept (Patent pending).  Compared to the conventional methods, this new approach blocks the background noise, which could not be controlled as they were reflected from the non-spherical lens within the VCM module. 

As a result, it is capable of inspecting both sides of the IR filters and the Blue Filters with higher precision.  The optical resolution to perform such inspections is 2.5um, while the pixel resolution is 1.75 um, which guarantees the reliability of this technology. The minimal detectible size of the particles this equipment can detect is 5um.
